AICPIN for the Month of November 2018


The Labour Bureau under Ministry of Labour and Employment today released the statistical report of All India Consumer Price Index (AICPIN IW) for the month of November 2018.

The index remained stationary at 302 (three hundred and two). On 1-month percentage change, it remained static between October, 2018 and November, 2018 when compared with the increase of (+) 0.35 per cent for the corresponding month of last year.

The year-on-year inflation measured by monthly CPI-IW stood at 4.86 per cent for November, 2018 as compared to 5.23 per cent for the previous month and 3.97 per cent during the corresponding month of the previous year. Similarly, the Food inflation stood at (-) 1.57 per cent against (-) 0.95 per cent of the previous month and 3.91 per cent during the corresponding month of the previous year.

The index is calulcated based on the essential commodity prices of 78 centres across the country. The average index is calculated as All India Index. The below table describe more detail…
