Railway Ticket Refund of Rs.5000 and above against only PAN, Aadhar and Details of Bank Account – Southern Railway

The Southern Railway has informed through its official portal today that the tickets booked from 16 to 24 of this month will not be refuned over the PRS Counter in Cash.

CANCELLATION AND REFUND OF HIGHER VALUE PRS TICKETS (ABOVE Rs.5000) – Southern Railway

Consequent to the demonetisation of 500 and 1000 rupee notes, refund on cancellation is through Ticket Deposit Receipt (TDR) for refunds of higher value PRS tickets above Rs.5000/-. When a passenger wishes to cancel ticket across the counter, he/she must show their PAN card/Aadhar card to the counter clerk. The Counter clerk will issue a Ticket Deposit Receipt which must be sent to the Chief Commercial Manger/Refunds along with the self attested copy of PAN Card/Aadhar Card and details of Bank Account into which the refunds are to be made.
